Eric Schnetzer | @backalleynails
Eric Schnetzer is the owner and operator of Back Alley Nails. Though he spent his childhood in Minnesota, after living in Florida for 15+ years he has embraced the Florida-Man lifestyle.
Prior to operating a salon, Eric worked as an independent artist and a part-time educator at Sunstate Academy. His passion for nail art, education, client relations, and his work history in management led him to opening Back Alley Nails in December of 2020.
In his free time, Eric enjoys volleyball, running, drawing, spending time with his dog Susan, camping and playing video games.
Eric brings nearly 10 years of experience and specializes in natural nail gel services and nail art. He’s available to be booked with Wednesday through Saturday via the link below.

Emma Lathrop | @pearl__haus
Emma is our newest member to Back Alley Nails and will be offering esthetician services.
Emma grew up in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and bounced around a bit before settling in Florida. She started spray tanning in 2016 to help pay her way through college and subsequently fell in love with esthetics. Emma received her certification in 2022 from Lorraine’s Academy and hasn’t looked back since.
She values honesty, compassion, and kindness. But above all, she believes great results start with trust and good communication. Her goal is to make clients feel comfortable, heard, and confident with zero pressure and not an ounce of judgement.
Outside of the shop, she’s usually gaming at home with her two cats — Bandit and Luna. Emma also enjoys spending time knitting, cooking, and finding any excuse to be outdoors. Flora is one of our extremely talented nail artists who trained in her home country of Kosovo, south of Albania. She moved with her husband to the United States in October of 2024, bringing with her over 8 years of nail artistry experience.
With her expertise in builder gel and hard gel, Flora takes pride in creating strong, sculpted sets that are just as durable as they are beautiful.
Her signature style is clean, edgy, and detail-focused. From designs that are chic and minimal to intricate three dimensional works of art, Flora brings a vast skill set to fit any client’s needs.

Hannah joined Back Alley Nails in January of 2023. She received her nail license in Spring of 2020 through Sunstate Academy where she studied under Eric as one of his students.
She’s “nearly native” to the Tampa Bay area having moved here when she was only three years old. A large number of her family members live down in Brazil, where she visits often. As many do, she enjoys traveling and makes a point to find the nearest beach wherever she goes.

Jasmine is a St. Petersburg local that found a passion for nails in high school that was reignited upon enrolling in a nail program. She brings over 8 years of experience in the service industry and a lifetime of love for sculptural art — it’s the perfect combo to be an incredible nail artist.
While not working at Back Alley Nails, Jasmine enjoys spending time with her friends at the beach - like a true Florida girl.

In the midst of 2020’s COVID, Jess decided to take up nails as her next big thing. Through cosmetology school and additional training, she continues to build her knowledge and experience within the industry. While confident in her work, she strives to continue learning and keep up with new trends.

Patrick is a recent transplant from Scranton, Pennsylvania (yes, that Scranton). He has been a nail technician for three years and specializes in natural nails using hard gel products.
He loves all things spooky with a dash of hot girl energy thrown in for good measure. As for nail style? The weirder, the better. Patrick loves working with organic patterns, animal print, and designs that include 3D or textured elements.
